About the blog

The idea for this blog came about when, sitting around an open fire listening to many intelligent young adults discuss the difficulties we face today, I decided to bring up a divisive topic. Surprisingly, the discussion that followed did not result in a physical fight or an exchange of hateful words, but a discourse that showed respect for each other's perspectives on the issue.

It is then I realised the power in speaking up, in putting your ideas out there in the world. There is much to learn, and much to teach.

Rantings of a Self-Proclaimed Social Analyst provides one perspective of people I have met, of the observations I have made, and of the theories I have not tested. It is not meant to be offensive, or divisive. What it will hopefully evolve into is a platform of expression, for discussions to be started, for others to post their opinions, for us all to learn something from each other.
